TASTING NOTES
Colour Intense red ruby color.
Aroma In the nose, it has an enormous aromatic intensity of red fruits and black wild berries with hints of menthol.
Mouth In the mouth, it is very balanced, with a lot of structure, volume and persistence. It has an acidity that is very present, which gives it elegance; the wood is very well integrated.
Food Pairing
This wine is very gastronomic, pairing well with traditional Portuguese cuisine dishes like roasts and meet stews, apart from having the acidity to balance a lamprey.
Vineyards
Produced with grapes from vineyards located in Vila Nova de Foz Côa, Cedovim at Superior Douro and from vineyards in Fontelas, Peso da Régua, Baixo Corgo.
Vinification
After being destemmed and slightly crushed, the grapes were foot treaded in Granite lagar.
Barrel Aging
1 year in 300 L French oak barrel and 1 year in the bottle.
