Traditional Wine Bowl
AN ICON OF PORTUGUESE CULTURE
We tirelessly seek to perpetuate the authenticity of what is genuinely Portuguese, and the Malga is undoubtedly one of the most traditional Portuguese objects!
We invited the architect Siza Vieira to create a Wine Malga that combines tradition with modernity and evokes one of the most genuine traditions of Portuguese culture: drinking red wine from the malga!
by Siza Vieira
WINE MALGA
Created under the artistic genius of Siza Vieira, this malga is carefully crafted in Portugal, combining the tradition of the half-dome ceramic shape with the modernity and ergonomics of its lines.
With a mouth diameter of 13 cm and a height of 7 cm, this malga is the ideal size to nestle in your hands, with a wide dome that helps release the aromas of wines in a different way than in a glass.
Immaculately white, this malga is an elegant and sophisticated piece that allows you to uniquely appreciate the hues of red wines as they tint the white ceramic.

CULTURAL PORTUGUESE ICON
MALGA OF THE 3RD MILLENNIUM
The origins of the malga date back to the Middle Ages when it was a essential object in every home.
Today, we revive this tradition, bringing it into the 21st century with a touch of contemporaneity.
LIVING THE TRADITION
PAINTING THE MALGA
The typical wine malga was initially used to assess the quality of red wines and had to be white to leave traces of its colour on the edges of the ceramic.
This ritual of "painting the malga" said a lot about the quality of the wine.
Today, drinking wine from the malga is a new experience for younger generations immersing themselves in traditions.
This simple yet deeply rooted cultural gesture is a toast to minimalist elegance and functional art, making each moment a unique experience.
