A Heritage Reimagined
In 2012, our journey brought us to the historic Quinta da Pacheca, nestled in the heart of the Douro Valley. With over three centuries of winemaking tradition, it was a meeting of destinies: our passion found a home, and the estate found a new chapter.

Among the vineyards, granite tanks and oak barrels, we discovered more than a wine estate, we found a legacy waiting to be reawakened. For us, this wasn’t just a step into winemaking, it was a commitment to honoring a place where history, terroir, and human spirit converge.
It was here that the vision of Maria do Céu Gonçalves, Paulo Pereira, and Álvaro Lopes began to flourish, blending heritage with innovation to create unforgettable experiences through wine, hospitality, and culture.
With the success of Quinta da Pacheca and a growing passion for wine, wine tourism, and regional identity, the Terras & Terroir group was born, a project rooted in the belief that every region has a story to tell through its soil, its grapes, and its traditions. Driven by passion and guided by values of excellence, authenticity, and sustainability, the group expanded beyond the Douro, embracing the richness and diversity of Portugal’s wine regions.
In January 2025, the group embraced a new identity: Pacheca Group, a natural evolution that reflects the strength and recognition of its most iconic brand, Quinta da Pacheca, the place where it all began.
