The story of Quinta do Ortigão began in the late 19th century, when the Alegre family set out to produce sparkling wines in Bairrada, inspired by the region’s tradition and potential.

Over four generations, a legacy was built — one of dedication, respect for the land, and a constant pursuit of excellence.
Today, that legacy lives on in every bottle, through Pedro Alegre, who proudly continues his family’s story with authenticity, precision, and a deep passion for wine.
