Tasting notes
Colour with ntense garnet with violet tones. Aroma of blackberry and wild berries, with hints of jam from the barrel ageing. Fruity with good volume in harmony with the tannins and persistent.
Food Pairing
Dishes based on grilled or roasted red meats, game and aged cheeses.
Vinification
Total destemming, pelicular maceration, alcoholic fermentation at 28ºC and 9 months resting in French oak barrels “Allier”.
Vineyards
The vineyards are located at the heart of Bairrada, in Anadia, between the Caramulo and Buçaco mountains at an elevation between 50 and 70 meters above sea level. The older vineyards were planted in 1972, followed by new plantations in 1999.
