Tasting Notes
Tawny Port with a brick color, with hints of red and yellow. Intense nose of dried figs, walnuts and toasted almonds. Caramel. The palate is intense, with great volume and not too much sweetness. Fresh and very elegant.
Food Pairing
Alone without accompaniment, always refreshing. As an aperitif with toasted and salted almonds. Accompanying caramel desserts, convent sweets and walnut and/or almond cakes.
Vinification
Fermentation and crushing of the grapes, entry into a granite press, foot treading. Fermentation interrupted with the addition of brandy.
Barrel Aging
Ageing in old oak barrels with a capacity of between 550 and 600 litres for 23 years.
