Tasting Notes
Tawny Port with a light ruby colour, with hints of brick and yellow. Intense nose of dried figs, walnuts and toasted almonds. Caramel. The palate is intense, with great volume and not too much sweetness. Fresh and very elegant.
Food Pairing
Alone without accompaniment, always refreshing. As an aperitif with toasted and salted almonds. Accompanying caramel desserts, convent sweets and walnut and/or almond cakes.
Vinification
Fermentation in a press with tanning of the masses. Foot treading for three hours on the first day. Pumping over until fermentation is interrupted by the addition of brandy.
Barrel Aging
Ageing in old oak barrels with a capacity of between 550 and 600 litres for 20 years.
