Tasting notes
Complex aroma with red and black fruits, combined with the floral tone of Touriga Nacional. Perfect balance between acidity and tanins, as well as barrel notes from aging, having an elegant and persistent finish.
Food Pairing
Hunting, Cozido à Portuguesa, duck rice, cured meats.
Vinification method
Manual harvesting in 15kg boxes. Selection of the bunches on a sorting mat followed by destemming and crushing. Fermentation in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature. The grape varieties in the blend were vinified separately, with maceration throughout the process.
Aging 6 months in French oak barrels.
Vineyards
Vineyards planted between 400 and 500 metres, with an average age of 30 years.
